Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty, an actress, was born 1 October, 1995 in Berkeley, California. She is an acclaimed actress who was in Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006,) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House.

Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a film-maker as well as an actor family. She pursued both professions her own. In 1985, she made her debut in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni. She played the main character in Cristina Comencini's first feature film Zoo (1988) and as also being a member of Michele's casting in The Church (1989). Red Wood Pigeon, directed by Moretti in 1989, played her part in the role of Nanni Moretti's young daughter. It was in Close Friends (1992), written and directed by Michele Placido, that Asia's career really took off and she had the opportunity to change from playing young girls into more complex, mature roles. Cannes International Film Festival received the film well. For Trauma (1993) it was the first time she worked for the first time with her father, well-known Italian filmmaker Dario Argento (her mother is among the most beloved actors of Argento, Daria Nicolodi, playing an overweight girl who is in search for her parents' killer. The Phantom of the Opera is her third movie alongside her father, with which includes Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's dedication and passion for acting was also utilized in the film by Giuseppe Piccioni in Condannato a Nozze. Also, she was a part of the part in the international cast of Queen Margot directed by Patrice Chereau. In 1995, her collaboration alongside Michel Piccoli, in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion won her yet another David di Donatello award as well as Grolla of Oro. Asia began directing short films in 1994. She made two: Prospettive in 1996. She directed a document about her father and then Abel/Asia in 1998, about the cult film director Abel Ferrara. This latter was recognized at the Rome Film Festival. Asia was first introduced as a feature director in Scarlet Diva (2000). The film featured her as a director. She was also the lead actress and wrote the screenplay. The film premiered all over the world in May 2000. In Brooklyn, New York it received an award from the Williamsburg film festival. In 2001, after directing a number of music videos the actress gave birth to her first daughter, Anna Lou. In 2002, she was featured in The Red Siren directed by Olivier Megaton and starred alongside Jean-Marc Barr. Rob Cohen also directed the action-packed thriller featuring Vin Diesel. Asia has also written several short stories which were published in a variety of magazines.
